Workshop 3 09/11/16

We started off by learning the differences between MDF and plywood. Whereas plywood is a bit bendy and thin, MDF is smoother and thicker. Also plywood is made in lots of layers being stuck together to form the thickness.

We started off by being given different pieces of wood  of different shapes, we then drawn as many straight lines, curved lines or circles as we wanted. We cut the straight lines out on the band saw, the curved lines we done on the sanding machine as well as sanding down other side too to make them smoother and for the circles we used another machine.

After this we made them smoother by sanding them down using sandpaper in different ways.
