Elevation drawings 11/10/16

Key word meanings.

Elevation- a view from one side.

Elevated indication- shows where the elevations have been taken from on the plan (always read from left to right).

Extended elevation- two walls that are attached shown as one elevation instead of two.

We started off by doing a small task to get used to drawing elevations. From the sheet we were given, we had to draw a plan of it, then do an elevation of each side (A and B) that we could see.

Next we were told we had to draw an elevation for ‘Elevation C’.

Then we were told to pick a small part of the studio and draw an elevation on it with a partner. We paired up, chose where we wanted to do, measured everything in that space and drawn it using the 1:20 side of the scale ruler.

For our self directed work we had to measure two spaces and draw their elevations.
